Luckily for sandwich lovers everywhere, our friends at Yelp were able to identify the best sandwich spots in every state in 2021. To determine the best of the best, they identified businesses in the sandwiches category that had lots of reviews mentioning "sandwich," then ranked those spots using several factors — including the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning "sandwich."
"This is an all-time list of the best sandwich spots in every state, according to Yelp. The list includes everything from Italian subs like the Lucky Luciano at Tony's Italian Delicatessen in Texas to the Thai chicken meatball sandwich on a bao bun at Ekiben in Maryland," Tara Lewis, Yelp's trend expert, told Travel + Leisure by e-mail.
