If you can't get enough of Trader Joe's Mandarin Orange Chicken and put Everything but the Bagel Seasoning on everything, you're not alone. The Trader Joe's 12th Annual Customer Choice Awards have just been announced, revealing customers' favorite products at the popular grocery store chain. And honestly, we can't wait to go back to Trader Joe's to add all these kitchen staples to our carts. For the last 10 months, we've spent more time than ever in our kitchens, so naturally, we want to know what our fellow Trader Joe's lovers have stocked in their pantries, refrigerators, and freezers. Here are this year's winners, according to the Trader Joe's website.
Mandarin Orange Chicken was voted the overall favorite Trader Joe's product — unsurprising, given that it's so tasty and simple to make. The Everything but the Bagel Seasoning Blend, Cauliflower Gnocchi, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, and Unexpected Cheddar were runners-up for the "Favorite Overall" category.
The "Favorite Vegan/Vegetarian Item" award went to Trader's Joe's Soy Chorizo, followed by Vegan Kale, Cashew & Basil Pesto, Cauliflower Gnocchi, Vegetable Fried Rice, and Vegan Banana Bread With Walnuts (because no list of favorite 2020 foods would be complete without banana bread).
Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups took the top spot for the "Favorite Sweet Treat" category, with Hold the Cone! Mini Ice Cream Cones, Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches, O&H Danish Kringle, and the Brookie coming in as runners-up.
Unexpected Cheddar won arguably the most important category — "Favorite Cheese" — followed by English Cheddar With Caramelized Onions, Wild Blueberry & Vanilla Chèvre, Creamy Toscano Soaked in Syrah, and the seasonal Baked Lemon Ricotta. (If you need me, I'll be creating the cheese board of my dreams with these Trader Joe's favorites.)
Sparkling Black Tea With Peach Juice Beverage was named the "Favorite Beverage," with Non-dairy Oat Beverages, Cold Brew Concentrate, Sparkling Honeycrisp Apple Juice Beverage, and Spiced Cider (the latter both seasonal) making the runners-up list.
Customers voted Salted Peanut Butter-filled Pretzel Nuggets their favorite snack, but Organic Corn Chip Dippers, Organic Elote Corn Chip Dippers, Plantain Chips, Chili & Lime Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips, and Bamba were top choices as well.
The Teeny Tiny Avocados were the favorite produce item, but bananas, honeycrisp apples, organic arugula, and the Broccoli & Kale Slaw Kit were popular, too. And Mandarin Orange Chicken was the favorite entree, with Joe's Diner Mac 'n Cheese, Chicken Tikka Masala, Cauliflower Gnocchi, and Sweet Potato Gnocchi With Butter & Sage ranked as the runners-up.
Finally, Trader Joe's scented candles were voted the top product in the "Favorite in Home, Bath, and Beauty" category, with the Grapefruit & Lemon Hand Sanitizer Spray, Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream, Rose Water Facial Toner, and Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Hair Mask earning runners-up status.
