Early morning flights aren't always ideal.
You often have to get up in the middle of the night just to get to the airport on time, transport options are limited, and it can leave you feeling exhausted before you've even boarded the plane.
But according to one flight attendant, there's a big benefit to booking in on the first flights of the day.
Stella Connolly, behind the blog Fly With Stella , revealed why she thinks the early bird really can catch the worm.
She told NBC News : "Early morning flights are the best. They’re almost always on time.
"As the day goes by, if one flight is late it’s a snowball effect and there’s a higher chance flights will be delayed. I recommend flying early."
But that's not the only perk.
According to Stella, the early flights usually mean a cleaner aircraft because planes are generally cleaned at the start of the day.
While most planes are cleaned in between flights, it still means you're minimising the chance of ending up on the last flight of the day where something might be missed or you know that plenty of other passengers have been in your seat in the space of a few hours.
Then of course there's the added bonus that you'll arrive at your destination earlier in the day – which just means even more time to spend by the pool or on the beach, or exploring a new city.
It's basically a win-win (although if you need your beauty sleep, it's worth trying to have a quick snooze during the flight to replenish your energy).
