Travel booking site Hopper predicts flights to Paris could be as low as $400.

1/1 SLIDESWe’ve already compiled all the best travel deals and gear sales coming your way over the Thanksgiving break. Now you just need an affordable way to get to where you’re going. Enter: Travel Deal Tuesday.

Flight booking site and app Hopper, which collects billions of airfare quotes and has analyzed data from past years, is predicting that there will be major flight deals around the world on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (November 27), with some as much as almost half off.

“Last year, we sent more deal notifications on Travel Deal Tuesday than Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined. In 2016, we saw fare-sale activity spike by two times the normal volume [on that Tuesday],” Hopper said in a statement.

So why the increase in flight deals? Hopper’s chief data scientist, Patrick Surry, explained that airlines use the Tuesday after Thanksgiving as an opportunity to reignite demand in non-holiday travel (most people have already booked their holiday flights by now). That demand tends to fall off after Thanksgiving as people focus more on holiday prep than on travel planning. Thus, Travel Deal Tuesday is best for scoring airfare deals on winter flights outside of the Christmas and New Year’s holiday travel time periods, as well as deals on flights well into the first half of next year, according to Surry.

The company is predicting that flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico, could be as much as 50 percent off this year, as low as $324; flights to Paris, as low as $403; flights to Tokyo, $538; flights to London, $494; and flights to Turks and Caicos, $392.

Hopper is also expecting attractive domestic fares to be rolled out next Tuesday, including to Miami, Las Vegas, Long Beach, Denver, and New Orleans.

Airlines that are expected to push out deals on November 27 include Hawaiian Airlines, South African Airways, Cathay Pacific, Icelandair, and Philippine Airlines, among others.

According to travel search site Skyscanner, prices for domestic flights on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving last year were 11 percent cheaper when compared to domestic airfares available on Black Friday. However, they were 2.4 percent more expensive than on Cyber Monday. That isn’t much, but it conflicts somewhat with the Hopper data. So it could be worth starting to check earlier than next Tuesday for the route and flights you are interested in.

It’s also worth keeping an eye on Expedia’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday travel sale. In addition to a slew of hotel, vacation package, and activity deals, the travel booking site is for the first time offering additional flight coupons — Expedia has in the past offered plenty of flight deals during and after Thanksgiving Week, but not an additional coupon of its own.

On Black Friday, Expedia will be offering a coupon for $100 off on $200 flights, and it will offer that same coupon again on Cyber Monday between 9 a.m. PST and 3 p.m. PST. Beyond the coupon, there will be plenty of airfare deals posting on both days.
