Host agency Fora creates boutique business for top sellers

New York-based host agency Fora has launched Fora X, a boutique agency within the company for top-producing advisors.

Fora X provides travel advisors an advanced level of business coaching, access to fams and industry conferences, and private communication channels with Fora headquarters, said co-founder Henley Vazquez. In turn, Fora X advisors will be paired with three other Fora advisors who they will mentor.

Fora has identified 50 of its 200 top agents that will be elevated to Fora X. 

Advisors who are not currently working for Fora can apply to join Fora X. Admission criteria includes supplier and client recommendations as well as sales requirements.

“This is about people who have built great relationships with suppliers that treat them as real partners and people who are getting rave reviews from their clients,” Vazquez said.

Equally important, she said, is the business coaching and mentorship aspect of Fora X. 

One of Vazquez’s main goals with the founding of Fora has been to onboard new advisors, including part-timers just starting out. As such, the agency emphasizes its training; it launched an advanced training program earlier this year. A few weeks ago, Vazquez said, Fora relaunched its certification program for advisors.

The agency has also been focused on its technology, including a proprietary booking platform and the beginning of a customer relationship management solution.

Moving forward, training will continue to be a big area of focus, Vazquez said, as will the new mentorship program tied into Fora X. The company is also looking to bring its live events to more places across the country.
