A new Mediterranean sailing from G Adventures will take guests to secluded parts of Europe, and April savings on these voyages mean that now is the time to plan a vacation.
Growing interest in travel on the Med has led the tour operator to add a new sailing, which will take travelers to lesser-known beaches and ports between Venice, Italy and Zadar, Croatia. The itinerary visits the Gulf of Trieste to the Slovenian Coast, then on to the Istrian Peninsula and Kvarner Bay Islands of Croatia.
Katie Shanks, G Adventures’ marine brand manager, noted that the new trip exemplifies what small group sailing is all about.
“A small-group sailing adventure is the perfect way for travelers to get away from the hustle and bustle of Europe’s ‘over-touristed’ big cities in summer, but to still see up to four countries while unpacking just once,” said Shanks. “Passengers can also learn the basics of sailing and take advantage of the Adriatic’s pristine waters with snorkeling and swimming. A sailing trip is really as laid-back or active as our travelers want to make it.”
Sailing trips are led by a local skipper who takes guests to secluded locations where they can interact and engage with local people.
“It really is the best way to experience Europe,” added Shanks.
Making the journey even better, the new Sale Away With G Adventures campaign gives guests the chance to save 25 percent on departures this season when booked by April 24, 2019. All European sailing departures through October 31, 2019, are included in G Adventures’ Mediterranean Sale, which start at $1,429 and just $857 with the discount.
In addition to the new itinerary, other itineraries include the eight-day Montenegro Sailing, the eight-day Sailing Croatia-Dubrovnik to Split and the eight-day Sailing Greece-Santorini to Mykonos.
