Holland America Line will sail a 28-day cruise of Greenland, Iceland and the Arctic Circle in 2025.
The sailing on the Nieuw Statendam is slated to depart on June 28, 2025, from Rotterdam. The voyage will include 15 ports of call in five countries, scenic cruising of the North Cape in Norway, passage through the Arctic Circle, an overnight in Reykjavik and five calls in Greenland.
The five Greenland calls are Ittoqqortoormiit, Nuuk, Sisimiut, Ilulissat and Nanortalik.
HAL said the itinerary was inspired by Norse explorer Erik the Red.
The sailing is one of several HAL has assembled in response to heightened interest in longer voyages. In 2024, the line is offering itineraries ranging from seven to 35 days out of Europe on the Nieuw Statendam, Rotterdam, Oosterdam and Zuiderdam.
Customer feedback and the price of air travel have also led HAL to offer longer roundtrip sailings out of domestic homeports.
