Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings sets emissions goals

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings plans to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 10% by 2026.

The company said it plans to make greenhouse gas reductions at its islands and facilities and on ships across its three brands: Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. For instance, Norwegian Cruise Line plans to equip its final two Prima-class ships with the dual capability to use green methanol and diesel.

The company also plans to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2030 and is aiming for net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, which is part of an industry-wide emissions-reduction goal. All comparisons are against a 2019 baseline.
