Virgin Voyages eliminates pre-embarkation Covid-19 testing: Travel Weekly

Virgin Voyages will drop its pre-cruise Covid-19 testing requirement now that the CDC no longer requires it.

Pre-embarkation testing will end on July 24 for Virgin’s European sailings and on July 27 for its U.S. sailings.

A vaccine requirement will remain in place on both of its ships, the Scarlet Lady and the Valiant Lady. However, Virgin, an adults-only cruise line, will allow 10% of passengers on U.S. sailings to be unvaccinated.

All crew members for both U.S. and European sailings will remain fully vaccinated, according to the line.

Azamara and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings also are scrapping pre-embarkation Covid testing.
