After a two-year hiatus, the Cayman Cookout will return and is scheduled to take place Jan. 12 to 16 at the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.
Hosted by Eric Ripert, the celebrity chef who helms Le Bernardin restaurant in New York, the 14th annual event will feature notable culinary figures, including Jose Andres, Adrienne Cheatham, master sommelier Aldo Sohm, Andrew Zimmern, Antonio Bachour, Charles Joly, Daniel Boulud, Dean Max, Dominique Crenn, Emeril Lagasse, Jennifer Carroll, Kristen Kish and Tom Colicchio.
Returning to Cayman Cookout will be signature events like Beach Bash, Barefoot BBQ and Rum and Robusto. New events include island culinary excursions such as the Cayman Brac Lunch Experience; wine tasting and discussions with winemaker Marc Gagnon; and steakhouse dinners and Latin American/Caribbean-inspired events at the resort’s new restaurant, Saint June.
The events and menus for Cayman Cookout will be curated by Ripert and other participating chefs. They will work closely with Sohm, who will be the wine director for Cayman Cookout, and Monica Dubar, beverage manager at the Ritz-Carlton. Organizers say the event will emphasize beverages, offering menus designed by master mixologists and global spirits and wine experts.
