Hawaiian Airlines boosting California service for summer: Travel Weekly

Hawaiian Airlines announced increased service between California and the Aloha State for summer 2022. 

For the first time since summer 2016, the carrier will operate nonstop service between Oakland Airport and Kona Airport on the Island of Hawaii. 

Additionally, Hawaiian is adding a second daily flight between San Francisco Airport and Honolulu. 

The Oakland-Kona service will run from June 15 through Sept. 6, with flights departing Kona at 11:55 a.m. and arriving in Oakland at 8:10 p.m. Flights from Oakland to Kona will depart at 8:10 a.m. with a 10:40 a.m. arrival. Hawaiian Airlines also operates daily nonstop flights from Oakland to Oahu, Maui and Kauai. 

The additional San Francisco-Honolulu service will operate from May 15 through Aug. 1. Flights will depart Honolulu at 8:45 p.m. and arrive in San Francisco at 5:05 a.m., and the additional flight out of San Francisco will depart at 7 a.m. and arrive in Honolulu at 9:30 a.m.

During the peak summer period, Hawaiian will average nine daily flights between the San Francisco Bay Area and the Aloha State. The carrier is also offering daily nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Maui from June 11 through Aug. 15.
