The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea has appointed Ben Shank as general manager.
Shank brings more than two decades of experience to the role, including an earlier stint at the property from 2010 to 2012, when he served as the director of food and beverage.
“I look forward to diving back in and embracing the culture and unique experiences that the island and resort have to offer. I am proud to be back, working side by side with a dedicated team of the best and brightest hospitality professionals, and look forward to supporting and honoring the vision that they have created,” Shank said in a statement.
Shank kicked off his career in hospitality as a part-time busser at the Four Seasons hotel in Philadelphia in 1999. In addition to his previous stint in Wailea, he also has served as the opening resort manager at the Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World and the resort manager of the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale in Arizona.
He later returned to Philadelphia for his most recent position as general manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center, where he oversaw the property’s opening as the highest-situated hotel in North America, sitting atop the 1,121-foot, 60-story Comcast Technology Center.
