In a recent blog post, Disney shared that many sites in its four Florida parks will be getting a bit of a new look, thanks to something they’re calling”EARidescence.” This basically means covering some of the most notable Disney landmarks in heaps of glittery and shine, which we’re always here for! Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park will add to its makeover from last year by adding golden bunting and a 50th-anniversary crest, which is sure to look amazing.

Most of all, we’re really excited for the”Beacons of Magic,” which are essentially nighttime makeovers to some rides and iconic spots at night. For example, Cinderella Castle will look like it’s covered in pixie dust, magical fireflies will be hanging out at the Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom, and the Hollywood Tower Hotel at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will also be glimmering and glowing. Finally, new lights will be installed on Spaceship Earth, which will resemble stars in a nighttime sky and will be permanent!
Of course, Mickey and Minnie had to get new outfits for the occasion (they are the hosts, after all!!!) and they’ll be decked out in new looks made of EARidescent fabric with gold highlights. All of this is set to take place starting October 1 and go for the next 18 months! And if we know Disney, this is only the beginning of what they have up their sleeves for this exciting time! You can read more about it on the Disney Blog.
