Christopher said: “Crete, the largest Greek island, continues to be an enticing destination for both individuals and families seeking a new place to call home.
“Boasting a strong expat community in areas like Chania and Heraklion, as well as an affordable cost of living, the island’s cultural heritage is evident in its traditional villages, unique customs and delicious cuisine.”
Crete is the fifth largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and the island’s history can be traced back to the 7th millennium BC. The island’s air is thought to have healing powers.

Crete features heavily in Greek mythology and was the birthplace of Zeus and the home of the fearsome Minotaur.
The eastern side of the island is known for rugged beaches while Crete’s western side is busier with coastal villages.
