A woman was banned from boarding a flight and asked to go home and change due to her outfit not being “appropriate”.

Kine-Chan, 21, is an influencer and content creator who was getting ready to board a flight at Navegantes Airport in Balneário Camboriú, Brazil.

She was dressed up in a cosplay of Edgerunner’s Rebecca, but there was a catch – the outfit was nearly non-existent.

The cyberpunk attire was comprised of only a tiny black bikini, an electric blue anime-style wig and a pair of black sandals.

But as the model rocked up to security, they told her to “go home and change” as her outfit wasn’t appropriate for the flight.

A shocked and perplexed Kine-Chan was up in arms about the whole ordeal and was furious about the “very annoying situation” which happened on the weekend.

She took to Instagram on Monday to share her grievances with her 611,000 followers.

“I tried to board at Navegantes airport dressed as Rebecca's Cosplay for an event,” she said.

“I already knew that I could be late, so I was dressed so as not to waste time and could go straight to my room.”

But those extra few minutes popping on an extra few layers may have made all the difference, and she may have been allowed to carry on.

She continued: “But I was told to go home and change clothes because the one I was wearing was not appropriate. I explained that I was going to an event."

Expecting a flurry of support from her fans, they instead thought she’d gone a step too far with her racy antics.

One person wrote: “Kine I love you but for the love of God… you could have put on an easy pull-up outfit, like a falling dress or even a button-down blouse.”

Another gave her words of wisdom, adding: “I'm going with my costume and on top. I'll put a robe [on] or overalls! Here's the tip for you.”
