An urban explorer was in for an 'awkward' realisation after he had a dip in a not-so-secret infinity pool that's a hit with influencers.
Chris Schurke says he "totally fell" for the hype around a pool in Eryri (Snowdonia) in Wales, which was built by Wyn Mostyn Jones in 2016 as a green energy project. The pool's location makes it seem like it's part of the scenery, and in recent years it's become a hit with the social media crowd thanks to the gorgeous views, reports NorthWalesLive.
However, when he got home he realised he had "f***** up" and took to his blog everywherefromwhereyouarenot to warn others not to follow in his footsteps.

Admitting that the pool was "incredibly nice" and that "photos seriously don't do the view justice", it turned out his swim had 'awkward' implications.
He wrote: "Wyn Mostyn Jones has since passed away, and his family have since been pretty vocal about how they want everyone to stop swimming in the pool. They say that this water runs down the mountain from the pool and serves as the entire water supply to their house. And that puts me in an awkward position, because I didn't know about that."
He noted: "People have drank and bathed in water that has touched my genitals and I feel pretty bad for it."
Although he added that it's likely the water is filtered and cleaned before it gets used by locals, he still urged others not to take a dip in the pool, but rather just enjoy the "phenomenal view" and surroundings.

Other tourists who may not want to get into waters are visitors heading to Bali's popular Kuta beach in coming weeks. The holiday hotspot has been hit by "trash tsunamis" leaving its usually clear waters filled with rubbish, and the sandy shores covered in litter.
One local said: "Every year in the monsoon season the sand gets covered in all sorts of waste. It hits our business, because tourists come for the beautiful beaches they heard about and what they find is very different. We do our best to clean the area up, but it feels like we are losing the fight against the trash with more coming every day."
One TripAdvisor reviewer declared Kuta "by far the most disturbing and ugly and filthy beach I have ever been to" in a scathing write up, while another added: "There is so much rubbish coming in and no one really bothers to clean it. After hearing how nice this beach was, thought I’d book but now I regret it. Throughout the whole stretch along the beach was full of rubbish."
