As one of the most well-travelled royals, Kate Middleton has travelled around the world, often leaving home for weeks at a time.
As a result, Kate has gained a number of travel trips, both from her own experiences and from the wisdom and experience of the Queen.

One travel tip Kate learned from Her Majesty was a handy way to beat strong winds when departing a plane.
Wind can blow up the skirts of the Royal Family women, so to avoid this they often choose to have weights sewn into the skirt hem.
Royal couturier Stewart Parvin told MailOnline the process for this.
He explained: “I just pop a couple of weights into the hemline of her dresses and coats and it makes them hang beautifully.”
The Duchess of Cambridge fell victim to the weather when travelling to Calgary in 2011 when a gust of wind blew up her skirt in front of the cameras.
It happened again in 2012 while in Australia, with pictures of her underwear being featured in a German newspaper.
This nifty travel tip is said to have come from the Queen, who uses a couple of circular lead curtain weights to hem into each hand-made outfit.
The weights measure just over an inch across and weigh less than an ounce.

Mr Parvin added: “The beauty of a handmade outfit is that it hangs just right but, of course, we have a few tricks up our sleeve.
“Sometimes if she is wearing a lightweight chiffon skirt I will sew in a smaller lead weight the size of a pea or even a length of chain.”
Mr Parvin also heralded the Queen as a ‘fashion icon’ saying: “People don’t often realise it but the Queen is a classic beauty and has unbelievable style.”
“She is quite unique among my clients in that I can’t think of anything I have put on her that I have had to say, “Oh, you shouldn’t wear that one. Everything works.

“She has an amazing complexion and I can put her in any colour you care to mention – from subtle beige and golds to fuchsia pink and lime green.”
The Queen’s travel tips don’t stop there – Her Majesty is known to travel with a variety of personal items including two key products she uses to help beat jet lag.
According to The Independent, the longest-serving monarch is known to consume two things: “For jet lag she takes homeopathic medicines and barley sugar.”
The Queen consumes barely sugar in the form of a hard candy.
Despite this jet lag tip, many experts advise against having sugar to try and starve off jet lag symptoms.
This is primarily because sugar can cause a spike in blood sugar levels which will crash later, and leave most feeling tired.
In addition, homeopathy is often dismissed as “no better than placebos” according to the NHS.
Homeopathy isn’t widely available on the NHS and in 2017, NHS England recommended that GPs and other prescribers should stop providing it.
This is because they found “no clear or robust evidence to support the use of homeopathy on the NHS.”
Instead, it’s usually practiced privately, and homeopathic remedies are available from pharmacies.
