Ryanair's social media team took a cheeky shot at passengers with a tongue-in-cheek Tweet saying “adulting is hard”.
The airline ruffled some feathers with the seemingly sarcastic response to a holidaymaker.
The joke didn’t go down well with everyone as some found the tweet “pathetic” but others were left giggling.

The joke was originally a reply to a poster named Paul.
He wrote: “Another reason not to fly @Ryanair If you don’t pay for prebooked seats you can only checkin max 24 hours before your departure, meaning you need to checkin for your return while away, most likely forgetting and then costing €55 to do it at the airport if <2 hours before flight.”
Ryanair hit back with a photo of the reminder section of a mobile phone – indicating you can create an event to remind you to check-in.
They added: “adulting is hard”.
In the comments, people complained that they had been unable to check-in online during previous holidays and were then charged for checking in at the airport.
Marc wrote: “It didn’t work for me when I was in Germany and we were charged. Sarcasm is quite funny but not when you can’t get your own house in order.”
Others agreed that the rule wasn't difficult to follow.
“Flew with Ryanair several times never forgot to check in even during a three day bender in Benidorm,” laughed Lucy.
Another person fumed: “The Ryanair Twitter account is clearly being run by a college student, or, a college student in grown up clothes.
“This stuff isn't even witty anymore, just a bit pathetic frankly. Instead of using light criticism of the product as an opportunity to improve, you resort to this.”
However, others agreed with the airline’s joke.
Tom commented: "I'm seriously wondering how people survive if they can't even manage the tiniest tasks. It takes less than a minute to check-in for a Ryanair flight when you're using the app.”
It's not the first time an airline has been cheeky online – Jet2 poked fun at just how much Jess Glynne's song is played on its flights last year.
