Thousands of UK workers move abroad every year – in fact over 50,000 Brits recently took advantage of a scheme to relocate to Australia, while Spain has introduced a new Digital Nomad scheme alongside Croatia, Iceland, Norway and more.
But, while Europe and down under are great places some expats may prefer a little slice of heaven in the Caribbean.

One lucky person could move into a glamorous job role in Aruba, an island in the Caribbean – and they’ll get to live on-site in an incredible four star hotel. Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba is seeking someone to become a Social Media Content Creator in Residence for a month.
The stunning hotel on a former coconut plantation features tropical gardens, two pools and a number of air-conditioned cottages with patios, BBQs and Patios. Plus, you’ll be able to use the nearby beach area for snorkelling and swimming.
The boutique hotel is just a three minute walk from Palm Beach. The area has plenty of nightlife, bars and restaurants for your days off.
Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba hired a resident creator last year – Tess Gerdemann, aka @travelingxelmundo.
Speaking about her time on the island, Tess said: "Boardwalk was my home away from home for over a month, where I really felt like a local grilling fish on the bbq on my patio, hanging out in my hammock while reading a good book or doing yoga and listening to the birds."
As part of the role you’ll be given flights, a car to drive plus money for your time there and, of course, you’ll get to stay in several of the hotels rooms for an entire month. This includes their pretty casitas aka cottages and you’ll get to use the spa too.
In return you’ll need to take plenty of photos and videos for the hotel. These should apparently showcase the stunning spot’s "barefoot luxury" to visitors.
"We are thrilled to be offering this incredible opportunity once again," Shari Sield, the sales and marketing manager at Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba, said. "Last year’s collaboration with Tess was a huge success, and we received an overwhelmingly positive response from our guests and followers. We can't wait to see what this year's content creator will come up with to showcase our hotel and our island."
You can apply using this form and you’ll need to add your best snaps and videos to demonstrate your capability. Applications close on June 30 so you have time to perfect your submission.
Those who don't want to try for the incredible opportunity can still stay at the super pretty hotel. A night at the Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba will cost from around £287 a night.
There are a number of room options at the resort including suites with balconies, bungalows, one and two bedroom cottages and deluxe casitas with private entrances. Some of the casitas include private kitchens and outdoor showers.
It's not the first time a glamorous hotel has tried to recruit workers with incredible perks. Last year, Georgie Polhill, from the UK, and Malsa Maaz, from Male, bagged their 'dream job' selling books and running workshops for the Soneva resorts in the Maldives.
Georgie Polhill, 27, from the UK, spent the last 12 months working on Soneva Fushi after leaving her career in publishing to work with kids and adults in the bookshop and spend her spare time scuba diving. She became the "barefoot bookseller" and spent a year in paradise.
