After eight years in development, the Hotel Madame Reve is slated to open in October in central Paris.
The 82-room independent hotel from hotelier and restaurateur Laurent Taieb includes 19 suites. Star suites boast views of the Eiffel Tower, Sacré-Coeur or Notre-Dame Cathedral.
Travel advisors talked with retail/hotels editor Christina Jelski and host Rebecca Tobin about the confusion caused by the EU removing the U.S. from its “safe travel” list.
The luxury hotel is housed in the 19th century Louvre post office building in Paris’ 1st Arrondissement and is a 10-minute walk from the Louvre Museum.
Amenities include a 10,000 square-foot roof terrace inspired by engineer Gustave Eiffel with gardens and panoramic views of the City of Lights, and two restaurants overseen by chef Benjamin Six. A Mediterranean-style brasserie with an outdoor terrace will be on the ground level. A modern restaurant and bar will serve Japanese-influenced cuisine.
“I had a dream to create an exceptional place, where joie de vivre mixes with emotion. I pictured the hotel of tomorrow in the heart of historic Paris in an iconic building, staffed by a talented team,” said Taieb in a statement.
Rooms at the Hotel Madame Reve start at $590 per night.
