Reset, a new hotel concept from architect-turned-internet sensation Ben Uyeda, will debut near California’s Joshua Tree National Park.
The 180-acre project, which will serve as the Reset brand’s flagship, broke ground earlier this month.
Each of the property’s 65 accommodations will offer a fireplace and private patio, while guests will have access to shared amenities like a swimming pool and terraced garden area.
Uyeda, Reset’s co-founder and creative director, is spearheading the hotel’s design, which will skew modern and minimalist and utilize modular construction techniques.
Uyeda is known for his robust social media reach of more than 2.5 million followers, including more than 660,000 Instagram followers.
Uyeda said the property will “show how factory construction of steel-framed modules, an army of cranes and a team of skilled craftspeople will come together to create a special place.”
The launch of Reset comes as a number of hospitality players look to tap demand for boutique and lifestyle accommodations in and near U.S. national parks.
