Carnival Cruise Line will introduce Chibang!, a restaurant serving Chinese and Mexican dishes, on the Mardi Gras.
The ship departs Port Canaveral on its maiden cruise on July 31.
Carnival said it created the restaurant in response to guest feedback. The line said customers want more diverse dining choices, particularly Chinese and Mexican cuisine.
Chibang! will serve several Chinese classics such as roast duck with hoisin glaze for two, beef and broccoli, sweet-and-sour shrimp, kung pao chicken, egg drop soup and pot stickers.
On the Mexican side of the menu there are classics such as carnitas tacos, chicken mole, slow-cooked pork lomitos, quesadillas, loaded nachos and churros with vanilla ice cream for dessert.
Margaritas and green tea martinis, too
The restaurant will have special cocktails, as well: The Chibang! margarita made with blood orange syrup, the smokey mezcal negroni and a green tea martini made with shochu.
Normally, Chibang! would require a cover charge or a la carte pricing for dinner, but the restaurant will be included in the cruise price for a limited time. The same goes for Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse Brewhouse and Cucina del Capitano.
When Carnival does implement an extra charge for dinner at Chibang!, patrons will still be able to eat there at no charge for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant will serve burrito bowls and noodle bowls at lunchtime.
