See the stars like never before at the Australian Botanic Garden

Look up into the night sky above Australia’s biggest botanic garden on Friday, February 23, 2018, and see the stars up close with telescopes, as you learn about their significance and Dreamtime origins.

Hosted at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan in the Macarthur region, the ‘Stars over the Gardens’ event will see Angel Lopez-Sanchez from the Australian Observatory introduce the night sky and its wonders. Guests will also get to hear Dreamtime stories about the nocturnal sky presented by the garden’s Aboriginal educators.

Guests will then have the opportunity to see the stars and planets like never before, using telescopes to zoom in on interstellar wonders without the interference of city lights on the outskirts of Sydney.

To end the night, guests can enjoy a glass of wine or hand-crafted beer under the stars amongst the gardens. The all-ages event costs $29 per person and can be booked online.
