The Ranch Malibu returns to The Dolomites

The Ranch (, the healthy lifestyle company with two acclaimed results-oriented fitness and wellness retreats, is thrilled to bring their immersive experience to the Italian Dolomites in 2019 for the second consecutive year. Known for transformational four-, seven- and ten-day health programs, The Ranch is once again hosting the experience at the iconic Hotel Rosa Alpina, with eight weekly sessions, exclusively running from August 25th – October 19th, 2019.  The Ranch Dolomites’ second year highlights the success of The Ranch’s overseas expansion and international programming of the award-winning California-based fitness program.

Modeled after The Ranch Malibu’s 7-day experience, which combines an intense fitness regimen with a highly structured, plant-based nutritional diet, The Ranch Dolomites will immerse 22 guests in the natural splendor of the Italian mountain landscape.  Under the guidance of experienced Ranch staff and local Italian hiking guides, mornings will be spent hiking the majestic mountains of this UNESCO Natural World Heritage site. Centered in San Cassiano and near Cortina, the hundreds of miles of trails offer breathtaking views of the picturesque countryside, emerald-green meadows, mountain lakes, waterfalls, the Alps and the jagged peaks of the Dolomites.  Afternoons will be filled with fitness programming including strength training, yoga, meditation and with daily massages.

“After hosting The Ranch in the Dolomites for the first time in 2018, the enthusiastic reaction of our guests to the breathtaking setting made it an easy decision to return in 2019 and extend the program by two additional weeks,” said Alex Glasscock, Founder and CEO of The Ranch.  “It is an honor to work with Hotel Rosa Alpina again.  With an immaculate reputation in the hospitality industry, their intimate environment and five-star service, makes the hotel an ideal partner to ensure the comfort of our guests and help bring our wellness philosophy to an international clientele.”

Staying at the charming Hotel Rosa Alpina, guests will enjoy rooms that have been individually designed with a unique and authentic Alpine style. The rooms are complete with luxurious touches and include separate tubs and showers in the bathroom and views of the stunning Dolomite mountain range with Suite upgrades also available.  To complement the active schedule, The Ranch culinary team will collaborate with the Rosa Alpina team to serve a nutritional menu of locally grown plant-based fare, ensuring guests are energized throughout their stay. Guests may enjoy Italian favorites such as spinach and zucchini lasagna with homemade macadamia nut “ricotta” cheese, pizza with a cauliflower crust and mushroom ragu served over polenta.

“We are thrilled to continue our relationship with The Ranch to increase international awareness of our beloved Dolomites hotel with such an esteemed partner,” said Hugo Pizzinini, Owner & General Manager of Rosa Alpina. “It was a true pleasure bringing the collaboration to life in 2018 and we look forward to building on this success in 2019.”

“The collaborative partnership between The Ranch and Rosa Alpina was an exceptional experience in true Ranch style, from the quiet beauty of the Dolomites to the helpful and always cheerful staff,” said Jessica Hall Upchurch, Vice-Chair and Sustainability Ambassador of Virtuoso, LTD. “Everything was perfectly thought out, including the amazing local flair added to the menu. I can’t wait to go again and am so grateful for the experience.”

Like The Ranch Malibu and The Ranch 4.0, guests will leave with measurable results, improved physical endurance, boosted metabolism, loss of fat and inches and a relaxed and clarified mind.

The weekly rate of $8,700/person includes 6 nights and 7 days (Sunday-Saturday) of daily guided hikes, fitness and exercise classes, daily massages, private accommodations for each guest, all meals and some evening elective nutrition talks and an afternoon cooking demonstration along with a return transfer to the Venice Marco Polo Airport.  This year guests are also able to upgrade their accommodations at an increased rate.
