Renovated Las Alamadas reopens in Puerto Vallarta

Las Alamandas has reopened its doors following a renovation to its rooms and public spaces. The luxury resort sits on 2,000 acres of Pacific coast south of Puerto Vallarta. A new villa has been added to its portfolio, bringing the resort’s total key count to 18 suites set within eight villas.

The new villa, Casa Bougainvillea, looks out over the main Plaza Delfines as well as the ocean. It has two bright suites with white cement floors, Mexican arts and crafts and a bathroom with double showers. The ground-floor bedroom has its own private entrance, complete with two Queen beds and an en suite bathroom as well as an outdoor shower and Jacuzzi.

A staircase leads to the top suite, which has a four-poster bed, en suite bathroom, double shower and rooftop balcony with its own daybed and Jacuzzi.

Part of the renovations included the introduction of La Palapa Beach Club, which has a thatched palapa ceiling. An outdoor deck serves for sunbathing by day and is converted at night to a space for private dining. A new bar serves tacos, tapas and cocktails, as well.

For alfresco dining (with social distancing in mind), the resort has added Oasis Pergola, an oceanfront dining space with only three tables so guests can also reserve it for private dining.

As for wellness offerings, Las Alamandas has unveiled a new spa with one treatment room, steam room and beauty salon. The fitness center has also been remodeled.

Rooms begin at $239 per night.
