Their spa has been awarded a Five Bubble Rating for dedication to customer service excellence, state-of-the-art facilities and their range of treatment options. It’s the perfect gift to treat yourself and a loved one this winter after a stressful year.

After a two-hour drive from London, we arrived in the heart of the Warwickshire countryside. As soon as we pulled up, we were surrounded by country garden plants which really captured the essence of the spa’s idyllic rural location.

Destination Spa offers a wide range of treatments, thermal facilities and plenty of areas to sit, relax and take in the scenery.

Ardencote announced the completion of its £1.5million spa development programme upgrading its facilities meaning it was the perfect chance for an overnight getaway filled with pampering and relaxation.

The hotel boasts a total of 110 en-suite rooms, all air-conditioned and well furnished.

My room was comfortable, spacious and well furnished with a desk, armchair, tv and lots of storage. The rooms in the hotel are divided mainly between the Courtyard and Lakeside complex.

The bathroom had a powerful waterfall shower complete with luxurious shower gels, body lotions, shampoos and conditioners, just in case you forget your own toiletries.

When we checked in, we were greeted by the most friendly staff who directed us to our room. They were happy to show us around the spa and every amenity that was available.

This included the indoor and outdoor swimming pool, the treatment area, the dining area, and the gym.

Inside the spa, there’s a large thermal suite comprising of an aromatherapy steam room, Himalayan salt sauna, tepidarium, ice fountain, Monsoon experience shower and foot spa.

Once we had settled into our room, we changed into our robes and slippers and enjoyed some down time in the relaxation lounge, complete with stylish spa pods and a tea and coffee station.

As well as the pods, the spa provides the perfect spot to unwind – the tranquillity lounge, which is a peaceful location to doze off.

During our time there we enjoyed a light lunch as well as a delicious three-course dinner at the hotel’s main restaurant, The Brasserie. The menu comprised of a selection of chicken, beef and vegan options, perfect for everyone.

The drinks menu is extensive covering a range of wines, spirits, juices, soft drinks and cocktails. We opted for a fruity Passion Fruit Martini and Strawberry Daiquiri for lunch, and enjoyed a bottle of red wine with dinner.

The dishes were tasty and served with excellent presentation.

It didn’t stop there as in the morning we came down for a buffet breakfast including a traditional English, a variety of breakfast pastries, cereals, juices and a wide choice of fresh fruits. Hot drinks are waiter served.

In the morning, the Brassiere was flooded with light as the sun came through the large windows.

As I looked up, I could appreciate the beauty of the spacious grounds, the pristine greenery and the floodlit tennis courts.

Guests who are interested can enjoy three floodlit tennis courts, three glass-backed squash/racket ball courts and a dance studio, hosting a range of classes.

Destination Spa is partnered with ELEMIS and includes a range of treatments, including facials, body wraps and a full body rejuvenation for all guests. Their spa facilities are second-to-none.

The outdoor hot tub is a must-visit especially in the winter months to warm you right up. Not only was it a very soothing experience, but it’s a great place to relax and have a chat with a friend.

All the facilities are very modern and worked efficiently fulfilling their descriptions. Each with different purpose for the body, whether that is to release toxins or improve circulation.

I was also lucky enough to enjoy an hour long full body massage which was so soothing and comforting, putting me to sleep.

The masseuse was so friendly and soaked my body in exotic Japanese oils, making my skin feel smoother than ever and soft to touch.

The Spa at Ardencote is perfect for anyone that needs to wind down and reset. Their spa development provided the most ideal location to relax, and allowed me to detox and truly be at peace.

I had a lovely day and one of the best nights ever thanks to all the soothing treatments (and food!).
