Analysing the social platform’s views, Perfect Stays has compiled a list of the best and most popular coastal locations around the UK. Coming up in first place is Dartmouth in Devon, followed closely by St Ives, Cornwall.
The harbour town of Dartmouth, on the River Dart, seems to be ticking all the boxes for TikTok users.
Dartmouth’s popularity comes as no surprise. The picturesque town is a clear favourite with social media users across the board.
Some of the highlights of the town include the castle, which guards the river mouth and offers fantastic views over the river and out to sea.
In town, the beautiful embankment alongside the river and the Royal Avenue Gardens offer plenty of photo opportunities.

And of course, the sheltered inlets and multiple beaches make Dartmouth a fantastic coastal destination.
Two coves, Castle Cove and Sugary Cove, offer seclusion, while Blackpool Sands is a Blue flag beach.
Other beaches include Bigbury on Sea, Slapton Sands and Torcross Beach.
Cornwall, meanwhile, takes the second spot with St Ives, which was this year named one of the world’s top “emerging destinations” by TripAdvisor.
With cobbled streets, golden beaches and a thriving art scene, St Ives offers the best of Cornwall.
With the recently renovated Tate St Ives satisfies art lovers’ cravings and offers great views over the ocean.
The Blue Flag beaches of St Ives are perfect for surfing and kitesurfing, building sandcastles and crabbing in rock pools.
There are 12 beaches to choose from, making the town a great beach destination.
Salcombe, Devon, and its crab festival take third place on the Perfect Stays list of the top five coastal locations according to TikTok.
Sitting on the banks of Kingsbridge Estuary, Salcombe sits within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Things to do in the town include water sports, going to the beach, and of course, crabbing.
Crosby, Merseyside takes fourth place, with Crosby Beach a very social-media friendly spot. The beach is now the home of artist Antony Gormley’s sculpture, Another Place.
Tobermory, on the Isle of Mull, Scotland, comes up in fifth place.
The Inner Hebrides town is a pretty port with colourful buildings fronting the harbour.
