We all know Hawaii is hot this summer, and now it’s even less expensive to get there with discounted flights from Hawaiian Airlines, which is offering one-way fares from $81 (plus $5.60 in taxes and fees) through June 16.

The fares are good for economy travel Mondays through Thursdays from Sept. 15 through Nov. 3, 2021.

This offer comes on the heels of Southwest’s 50% off fare sale, which can also be applied to some Hawaii flights.

• As low as $81 one-way nonstop between Los Angeles and Honolulu
• As low as $86 one-way nonstop between Oakland and Maui
• As low as $86 one-way nonstop between San Diego and Honolulu
• As low as $86 one-way nonstop between San Francisco and Honolulu

The lowest prices tend to be available early in the week, particularly in late September and October. Given that the lowest fares will run you between 20,000 and 30,000 miles, we think it’s best to take advantage of these savings with cash instead. Some examples are below.

With new Southwest Hawaii routes available this summer, pricing for flights to the islands is extra competitive. (But be aware that Hawaii’s COVID-19 requirements could make travel cumbersome.)
