Google Maps Street View might have a serious purpose but it’s also become known as a place to spot the weird and wonderful. Users often stumble across some very odd sights on the tool. One such photo went viral after being posted to US content-sharing site Reddit.
It depicts a street in Mexico.
Shops both open and closed can be seen with cars parked in front.
In many ways, there is nothing unusual about the Google Maps photo.
However, if one looks closely, an oddity becomes apparent.
There are two cars parked by the pavement – one red and one black.
It’s the black vehicle that looks rather strange.
The car has one set of wheels are the front, just like any other car.
But at the back of the vehicle, two sets of wheels can be seen.
What could have happened to this car?
The Reddit user who posted the shot wondered if it was a custom-made car.
“Custom cars are getting crazy in Mexico!” they captioned the post.
Other Reddit users had plenty to say about the shot.
“Increased load capacity jetta. That bad boy is made to carry 6 kegs onto a college campus,” one said.
“Looks beefy,” another commente.
Some were quick to come up with puns.
“This driver he’s tired of being the third wheel all the time,” one person quipped.
The likely reality, however, is that a technological glitch has taken place.
When taking the photo, the 360-degree cameras shoot multiple pictures to create a seamless image.
However, moving objects often ruin the scene as they shift when the photos are taken.
It is most likely vehicle’s movement when the images were taken resulted in the strange photo.
