Tonight marks the premiere of Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette. Though we’re usually treated to a montage of enviable destinations as the contestants split their time between the Bachelor Mansion and romantic spots across the globe, this is the third consecutive season in the Bachelor franchise to be filmed at a resort—a move done to ensure the safety of the cast and crew so the show could go on amid the pandemic. And this season, the producers chose a stunner of a backdrop: The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico.

Located between the Sandia Mountains and the Rio Grande River, the Hyatt Regency Tamaya is named for the Tamayame people, a tribe of Native Americans who live in the town of Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico. The resort sits on 550 acres, and its many on-site amenities include a fine-dining restaurant, a sprawling outdoor pool and fitness center, a golf course, and a spa, as well as access to ski trails, horse stables, bike riding, Jeep tours, hot-air ballooning, wineries, and more. Clearly, there are plenty of activities for Katie and her many suitors to partake in!

While the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa serves as the sole filming location for Katie’s season of The Bachelorette, Matt James’s season of The Bachelor was shot at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, Pennsylvania, and both Tayshia Adams and Clare Crawley’s seasons of The Bachelorette were filmed at the La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, California. We’ll have to wait and see where the next season of The Bachelorette (airing this fall) will be filmed; it will star Michelle Young, who, like Katie Thurston, was a contestant on Matt James’s season.
