Charlotte Casiraghi is the daughter of the Princess of Monaco and the granddaughter of Grace Kelly. The royal always looks flawless in royal engagements and trips, but what is a must-have in her carry on luggage?

Charlotte explained: “The most important thing to travel with is makeup remover.”

For the beautiful royal, keeping her skin clean is crucial when travelling.

“Something to cleanse your face well, because that’s the basic of any routine,” the Monaco royal said.

“You need to have clean skin.

“That’s something I never travel without.

“In France, we use a lot of pharmacy products that are very natural, with no chemicals.

“But a cleanser and a lotion, those are the basics for me,” she told Vogue.

Charlotte also said about her makeup routine: “When you’re 14 or when you’re 34, your makeup isn’t exactly the same.

“You have to feel comfortable in it.

“You have to match your mood. You start to know your face.

“The best thing is learning to use makeup in a way that suits you,” she said.

However, she’s not the only royal who can’t travel without one specific item.

Meghan Markle also has a travel item she “can’t live without” when flying.

“The one thing that I cannot live without when I’m travelling is a small container of tea tree oil,” she said.

“It’s not the most glamorous thing, but if you get a cut, a mosquito bite, a small breakout, no matter what it is, it’s my little cure-all.”

Tea tree oil is an essential oil that acts as an antiseptic.

That means it helps to keep the germs away.

Rubbing a bit of tea tree oil around your nose will prevent germs from entering the sinuses.

The Queen has her own special cure to beat jet lag, which she always carries when travelling.

Barley sugar, which she consumes in the form of hard-boiled sweets, is said to be her “secret weapon” to combat jet lag.
