Sbe Opening 50 New Hotels Around the World by 2022

The hotel world is about to get a whole lot bigger thanks to sbe.

In January, the hospitality group announced its plans to open 50 new hotels around the world by 2022, which represents an almost 40% increase in the company's current portfolio.

"In just over a decade, sbe has brought the concept of culturally transcendent properties to life through partnerships with industry-leading experts and cutting edge design visionaries," the company wrote on its website about its future projects. "We continue to redefine contemporary hospitality and real estate development, and are constantly in search of those that share our vision to create extraordinary experiences in new communities, in new markets, in new — literally groundbreaking — ways." 

According to the company, through its strategic partnership with Accor, it will open 10 additional Mondrian hotels by 2022. The company also plans to expand the SLS brand with 17 new hotels across North America, South America, and Asia, all within the next five years. SLS Cancun — Feb 2021

The SLS Cancun, located in the gated community of Puerto Cancun, will be the company's first property in Mexico. The hotel comes with stunning oceanside floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the entire property, offering epic views of the sea in every direction. Designed by famed architect and designer Piero Lissoni, it's sure to be an architectural delight. 

SLS Dubai — 2021

Mondrian SLS Dubai

Located in the Downtown district, SLS Dubai will offer unobstructed views of the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, as well as a gorgeous view of Dubai Creek. Once completed, it will be one of the tallest hotels and residences in the region, boasting 254  rooms, 321 hotel apartments, and 371 branded residences. 

Mondrian Shoreditch London — 2021

Opening in late spring, the Mondrian Shoreditch London will replace the five-star property The Curtain in London's creative hub. The Mondrian Shoreditch London will mark the Mondrian brand's official return to London, and will also become the brand's European flagship.

Mondrian Gold Coast — 2023

Mondrian Gold Coast

A stunning dual-tower property, the Mondrian Gold Coast is currently in development in collaboration with Chris and Letitia Vitale's Vitale Projects. The hotel will sit on an expansive 43,000-square-foot beachfront site. Once completed, it will be the first Mondrian-branded property to open in Australia and sbe's first hotel in the country.
