Flying Alaska Airlines on Friday, December 21? Passengers who’ve donned a festive holiday sweater will be offered early boarding on the airline that calls itself the “merrier carrier.”

The one-time deal is being launched to coincide with a day designated as “National Ugly Holiday Sweater Day.” That Friday is also poised to be one of the busiest flying days of the holiday season.

Festive flyers who don their ugly Christmas sweater will be given priority boarding across Alaska’s 116-city network, Alaska and Horizon Air flights.

That means getting prime overhead bin storage space and avoiding boarding cattle calls.

Airline staff will also don their best ugly holiday sweater for the occasion.

Guests are invited to share the ugly holiday sweater festivities with the hashtag #UglySweaterDay and #iFlyAlaska.
