Flight Centre Travel Group, No. 7 on Travel Weekly’s 2022 Power List, has acquired tour operator Scott Dunn.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The Scott Dunn brand will remain in place, as will its management team, including CEO Sonia Davies.

Graham Turner, Flight Centre’s managing director, said the agency was attracted to Scott Dunn because of its customer service and high-quality products as well as other positives, like its image.
“We see this brand and business as our opportunity to grow our leisure presence in the large U.K. and U.S. markets, and the presence in Singapore further cements its distinctive offering in an attractive and growing segment in which third-party travel services are highly desired,” said in a statement. “Cash-rich, time-poor customers highly value the services of Scott Dunn, and competitive forces are weaker.”

Davies said the tour operator will continue to focus on growth in the U.S. and Singapore on top of its strength in the U.K.
“We’re excited to continue our journey and embark on a new era of growth as part of the Flight Centre Travel Group,” she said in a statement. “We will continue to put our guests at the heart of everything we do as we deliver fantastic vacations at every life stage.”
