Loews Hotels has broken ground on the $550 million Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center, which is slated to open in early 2024.
The project marks the first time that Loews is a property developer and the hotel operator.
The 888-room property will be located between the home stadiums of the Dallas Cowboys (AT&T Stadium) and Texas Rangers (Globe-Life Field) and across from Live! by Loews, a 300-room hotel that is a joint venture between Loews, the Texas Rangers and the Cordish Companies.
“Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center will allow us to capitalize on what we do best — combine a unique meetings and events destination with a best-in-class leisure resort,” Loews Hotels CEO Jonathan Tisch said in a statement.
The Loews Arlington will have five food-and-beverage outlets, two pools with an artificial beach and waterslide, and 266,000 square feet of event space.
The project is part of a phased development plan around the sports venues that also includes a future mixed-use residential building and a Spark coworking space, both developed by the Cordish Companies.
