‘Digital passport’ trial is being carried out on Spain, UK flights initially but will be rolled out on to more routes

Emirates on Thursday said it has started trials of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Travel Pass – a mobile app to help passengers manage their travel amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The first passengers travelling from Dubai to Barcelona on EK185 trialled the ‘digital passport’ to verify and share their pre-travel Covid-19 test status with Emirates.
