A new boutique hotel opens its doors in St. Maarten

A new boutique hotel, the Morgan Resort & Spa, has opened its doors in St. Maarten.

Located near Maho Beach, the Morgan Resort & Spa houses 124 guestrooms, all of which feature private exterior entrances and balconies or terraces.

The property is home to the Salt Restaurant + Bar, which is helmed by executive chef David Seeman and consultant chef and “Top Chef” competitor Ron Duprat. Serving up French Caribbean fare, the all-day dining venue also offers craft cocktails and rum flights.

Other highlights include an infinity pool, a swim-up pool bar with blackjack table, a fitness center, a salon and spa and a rooftop observation deck, from which guests can take in views of planes taking off and landing at the nearby Princess Juliana Airport.

Guests also have access to a variety of on-site activities and programming, including water aerobics, morning yoga sessions, cooking classes, wine and rum tastings, Sunday brunches and Caribbean BBQ nights, among other happenings.

Rates at the Morgan Resort & Spa start at $199, plus taxes and fees, per night.
