Tuesday is leftover day for the 2021 Colorado big game hunting license. Licenses go on sale on a first-come, first-serve basis starting at 9 a.m.
There are 33,109 licenses available across 976 hunt codes on the leftover list. While this is far fewer than 2020, it’s due to Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s efforts to make more reissued licenses available through a secondary draw.
After the primary and secondary draws, licenses are leftover for elk, deer, pronghorn, bears, Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep, desert bighorn sheep, mountain goats and moose.
There’s a step-by-step guide on how to make these purchases on CPWshop.com.
If you miss out on a limited license, there are over-the-counter licenses available.
