The JW Marriott New Orleans has just completed a sweeping transformation of its guest rooms and public spaces, focused on creating a property that embraces its host city’s culture while also offering luxe services and accommodations.
Designed to embody a sleek and modern sentiment, all 494 guestrooms and bathrooms at the French Quarter property channel the energetic vibe of New Orleans’ dynamic street scene via their color palette.
Highlights of the newly reimagined rooms and suites include luxury bedding, marble bathrooms and ergonomic workspaces. Classic white marble accents complement common soft white and warm gray hues and furnishings feature rich textiles, polished metal and antique mirrors to create practical luxury and a comfortable guest experience.
Curated works of art, such as Mardi Gras crowns and maps of the Bayou, have been added throughout the hotel, providing yet another nod to some of New Orleans’ most iconic elements.
The hotel’s contemporary bi-level Executive Lounge meanwhile features an elegant pool table and provides travelers with a luxe semi-private space.
“We are proud to offer the ultimate luxury experience across all JW Marriott properties and are especially excited about the completion of JW Marriott New Orleans,” Mitzi Gaskin, vice president and global brand leader, JW Marriott, said in a statement.
“Situated in the heart of the bustling French Quarter, the hotel incorporates design elements that reflect the allure of this iconic city while offering an elevated guest experience through spacious guestrooms, personalized amenities, and dynamic partnerships,” Gaskins added.
The property’s refresh also focused on meeting the expectations of next-generation leisure and business travelers, according to Marriott.
That effort included the addition of state-of-the-art entertainment options, which are available in-room. Examples include 55-inch HD TVs equipped with internet-based technology and applications such as Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, Pandora and Crackle.
Not to be overlooked, the NOLA property also includes a state-of-the-art fitness facility that’s open 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Still undergoing renovations, it is scheduled to reopen on October 23.
And one last notable detail—the property features an outdoor saltwater pool offering stellar views of the city.
