Britons’ love for gardens make them great attractions all over the country. Autumnal colours bring something different to some of the most popular gardens in the UK.

With Chelsea Flower Show sadly over, Britons who want to explore more gardens can head to one of the most popular gardens in the UK.

Crown Pavilions looked at some of the most popular open gardens around the country and came up with a list that did not disappoint.

Coming top of the list was Chartwell.

The most popular garden in the UK overlooks the Weald of Kent.

In second place was Nymans in West Sussex.

Unusual plants and woodlands make this spot a true treasure.

It’s also a great place to spot wildlife.

“The grounds and gardens are so lovely you can lose yourself even when busy.”

Third was Penshurst Place and Gardens.

The House, once the property of King Henry VIII, was left to his son King Edward VI and then passed on to Sir William Sidney.

The Sidney family still owns the property.

Visitors can explore the 11 acres of formal gardens and get lost in nature.
