Oktoberfest brings millions of people to Germany each year. The two weeks event is renowned for its beer, food and entertainment. Closer to home, many cities in the UK are putting on their very own Oktoberfest this year. Britons should dust off their lederhosen and get ready to drink many steins to the sound of Bavarian oompah bands.

Alton Towers Oktoberfest
On until October 3, Oktoberfest at Alton Towers is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

With beer, food and live entertainment, Alton Towers has transformed itself into a Bavarian haven.

Manchester Oktoberfest
Manctoberfest will be on at the Bowler’s Exhibition Centre from October 1 to October 3.

It’ll be a mix of the best of Mancunian and Bavarian culture.

For a more traditional Oktoberfest, Manchester will also welcome Britons at a big tent on First Street from October 8 and 9 to October 14 to 17.

Epic Oktoberfest
Taking place at the epic studios in Norwich, the event will be held on October 2.

Music will be provided by Oktoberfest act The Bavarian Strollers.

Cardiff Oktoberfest
In Wales, Cardiff’s Bute Park will see Oktoberfest take over on October 1st.

The German Beer Festival will feature fairground rides, Oktoberfest games and of course live music.

Cardiff will also have another Oktoberfest celebration on October 9, this time at the Vale Sports Arena.

Belfast Oktoberfest
The Northern Ireland city is celebrating Oktoberfest throughout all of October.

Starting on September 30, the event will be on every weekend at Custom House Square.

Warwick Castle Oktoberfest
For the first time this year, Warwick Castle will be hosting an Oktoberfest event.

For the first two weekends of October, the evening events promise to offer the full Bavarian experience.

Shropshire Oktoberfest
There will be 150 real ales at the Shropshire event taking place on October 1st and 2nd.

This Oktoberfest will also have live comedy and music.

Oktoberfest Essex
The party will be in Chelmsford on October 2nd, with plenty of beer, food and music on the menu.

Oktoberfest Guildford
The party moved to Guildford the following weekend.

October 8 and 9 will see Stoke Park turned into a Bavarian street festival.

Oktoberfest Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes will welcome Oktoberfest on October 9.

There will be an outside food court and a “bier tent”.

Weston-super-Mare Oktoberfest
Taking place at the Italian Gardens, the event starts on September 30 with a ticketed affair.

It will be free to attend for all on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with plenty of beer and sausages ready to be consumed.

Oktoberfest Colchester
For Britons who want to keep the beer running, Colchester is putting its Oktoberfest on at the end of the month, on October 23.
