Carnival reopens its Camp Ocean kids program to vaccinated children

Carnival Cruise Line reopened its Camp Ocean program to fully vaccinated children ages 5 to 11.

The line’s facilities for older kids, Circle C and Club O2, have already been open to vaccinated kids ages 12 to 17.

Carnival said its protocols for Camp Ocean include required face masks, limited capacity, encouraged physical distancing, deep cleanings of the spaces twice a day and one-parent-per-family drop-offs and pickups. It said that the protocols were consistent with other onboard procedures.

“The colorful ocean-inspired facility offers a variety of fun and engaging experiences ranging from educational activities to crafts and active games,” Carnival said.

Carnival operates its domestic-departing cruises with a small number of vaccine exemptions granted on a capacity-controlled basis; it restricts exemptions to children under 12 and those with medical or religious exemptions.
