The carrier will begin with its Miami lounge, then follow with its remaining Flagship Lounges at Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago O’Hare, Los Angeles and New York JFK through the fall. American has not provided specific dates for the reopenings.

Flagship Lounges cater primarily to international flyers on American and its Oneworld Alliance partners, though they are also open to domestic flyers with American’s top Concierge Key membership status as well as domestic flyers who hold Oneworld Emerald or Sapphire status.
American said that later this summer it will announce its plans to make the lounges accessible to more premium customers.
The lounges have been close since the beginning of the pandemic.
