Southwest Airlines coming to Syracuse and Bellingham, Wash.

Syracuse Hancock will become the 18th airport Southwest has entered since the start of the pandemic.

The carrier will launch thrice-weekly flights between Baltimore and Syracuse, N.Y., on Nov. 14. The launch will come just one week after Southwest begins service in Bellingham, Wash. From Bellingham, Southwest will fly daily to Las Vegas and twice daily to Oakland, Calif.

Those three routes are among the services Southwest announced Thursday as it extended its bookable flight schedule through Jan. 5. The carrier will also launch two new winter seasonal routes to Cancun, bringing to 17 Southwest’s total routes serving the Mexican resort destination next winter.

Daily seasonal Chicago O’Hare-Cancun flights will begin Nov. 7, augmenting existing Southwest service to Cancun from Chicago Midway. Weekly Saturday seasonal Kansas City-Cancun flights will start Nov. 13.

Southwest also said that by Nov. 7 it will have returned to all pre-pandemic international destinations.
