England’s ‘longest and fastest’ zipline Skywire to open next month

Need some excitement after months in lockdown? You'll be pleased to know England’s ‘longest and fastest’ is opening to the public next month.

Thrill-seekers can try the Skywire at Bluewater Shopping Centre in Dartford, Kent, this April.

They can whiz down 725 metres of zipline that overlooks stunning scenery and lakes.

It is the first attraction to open at the out-of-town Shopping Centre’s new 'Hangloose Adventure' centre.

According to Essex Live, the activity area will also include the UK’s only outdoor skydive machine, climbing, giant swing and much more.

Prices for Skywire start at £50, although you can grab a discount by securing an early bird ticket.

Stage 2 of Boris Johnson’s roadmap out of lockdown will begin on April 12 at the earliest.

Non-essential shops will reopen, along with personal care premises like hairdressers and nail salons.

Public buildings, such as libraries and museums, can welcome the public again.

And those looking forward to trying out the Skywire will be pleased to know most outdoor attractions and settings will be opened up.

This includes hospitality, zoos and theme parks.

Wider social contact rules will apply in all these settings, with no indoor mixing between households.
