Disney World is closing some accommodations as Hurricane Ian approaches: Travel Weekly

As Hurricane Ian advances toward Florida, Walt Disney World Resort has announced that select accommodations and attractions will be closed from Sept. 28 to Sept. 30 due to weather.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, the Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort are among the lodging options that will be shuttered during the three-day period.

Guests with current and upcoming reservations at those accommodations are currently being contacted, according to Disney World.

While Disney World theme parks are currently operating under normal conditions, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park and the Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf attractions will be closed on Sept. 28 and Sept. 29.

Additionally, the park said that enforcement of cancellation policies for dining and experiences like Savi’s Workshop and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique are being paused until further notice.
