Mini-makeover for TRYP Fortitude Valley’s Courtyard Rooms
Brisbane’s only street art hotel is undergoing a mini-makeover as part of a project to rejuvenate its six courtyard rooms.
Not your usual room with a view, the courtyards at TRYP Fortitude Valley provide a vibrant space to kick back and relax while admiring striking street art murals by Australian artists, including Fintan Magee, Beastman, Rone and Numskull.
The $30,000 refurbishment will involve the installation of artificial grass and custom-made bench seats, as well as festoon lighting and gates between every second courtyard.
“Guests will be able to book adjoining rooms and open the gate between the courtyards to create one large shared outdoor space,” said Hotel Manager Kim Knowles.
“This will be great for families, as well as for groups of friends who will now have a space to gather, whether they are hanging around the hotel or kicking the night off before heading into the Valley.
“There will also be opportunities to use these larger courtyards for cocktail functions with the adjoining rooms as break-out spaces, and we are thinking up some other fun packages utilising the space.”
The courtyard rooms come complete with complimentary Wi-Fi, a king size bed, minibar, pod coffee machine, 40-inch interactive Lifestylepanel television, Foxtel sports, movies on demand and iPod docking station with Bluetooth.
Nestled amid the city’s vibrant cultural precinct, close to iconic bars, restaurants, galleries and other attractions, TRYP Fortitude Valley also provides excellent service and impressive facilities including an onsite gym, meeting room, UP on Constance rooftop bar and ground floor burger restaurant, Chur.
