Caravan and camping holidays are expected to be a popular option this summer amid the uncertainty of international travel. For those looking to boost the traditional camping holiday, they may want to invest a little extra luxury.
However, an opulent caravan experience does not come cheap, with some of the most expensive costing almost £100,000 to buy.
ParkDean is one family holiday park provider allowing holidaymakers to both rent and buy holiday accommodation on its 32 sites.
While the holiday provider is home to a number of traditional options, including spaces for tow-along campers to bring their own caravan, the site also offers its own luxury range, the newest of which is set to debut in 2021.
The holiday park is set to launch its new “Willerby Mapleton” model in time for summer 2021, with prices starting at £122,995.
Ahead of its launch, ParkDean gave Express.co.uk an exclusive look at some of its existing deluxe caravans within the luxury range.
With prices starting anywhere from £40,495 to £99,995, what perks can holidaymakers expect?
ParkDean Resorts launched its luxury collection last year, aiming to provide customers with more choice on their camping holiday.
“For 2021, Parkdean Resorts has already added new
stylish homes to its collection, which are far more than your average ‘caravan’,” a spokesperson told Express.co.uk
The luxurious caravan collection is made up of five different levels: Comfort, Premium, Luxury, Excellence and Lodge.

The collection begins with the Comfort caravans; a modern offering with “value for money” at its heart.
There are four different holiday home types encapsulated with the Comfort range, with prices starting at £40,495.
Customers who opt for one of these brand-new models can enjoy a standard width of 12 ft, as well as central heating, double glazed windows and a “bright, open-plan” layout.
To further add to this home away from home, ParkDean kits out each of its Comfort range caravans with “modern furniture and everyday amenities”.
However, customers who want to take luxury to the next level may want to opt for a Premium Caravan.
Prices fr one of the four Premium models start at £50,995.
Much like the Comfort range, the standard size of a caravan spans 12ft in width.
Unlike the Comfort range, however, customers are able to further add to their caravan experience by opting for floor to ceiling radiators, integrated kitchen appliances such as dishwashers, and creating a seamless transition to outdoor living by adding on some French doors.
Next up is the Luxury models, made up of three “expertly designed and furnished” holiday home options.
Offering more space than the lower-priced options, these static caravans span 13ft in width.
Prices start at £63,995 for a Luxury model, with features including free-standing sofas, French doors, en suites and even walk-in wardrobes.
Customers who have a little more money to invest in their high-end holiday might opt for an Excellence model.
Starting at £72,495, one of these “top of the range” static caravans provides “significantly more space”, ideal for families and those looking to make their caravan a second home.
Spanning 14ft in width, holidaymakers will enjoy walk-in wardrobes and even a Juliet balcony, perfect for enjoying the surrounding views.
ParkDean highlights its Excellence caravans for their ability to provide “unmatched elegance, comfort and key features to make for extra special getaways”.
A ParkDean spokesperson said: “The Excellence range is truly the cream of the crop and takes caravan ownership to the next level.”
Finally, the most expensive caravans in the collection are dubbed the Lodges.
Though these holiday homes come at a high price point – an investment of £99,9995 at the lowest – they promise free standing furniture, plenty of space and fully fitted kitchens complete with state-of-the-art amenities.
Standout features include vaulted ceilings, kitchen islands and a bright, open-plan interior.
“Expertly designed and furnished to a high standard, our Luxury Range offers a collection of extra-wide static caravans with added space, style and comfort in abundance,” said a ParkDean spokesperson.
“These contemporary holiday homes are guaranteed to provide ultimate indulgence for your family getaways.”
